Alyson Feist, Dr. Bennet and the front office staff have been life-saving for me, as I am profoundly disabled, but let me emphasize - also highly educated, intelligent, and stable. I know what I am talking about when I mention a very shortened version of the gross, fully refunded conduct of a young, physician’s ASSISTANT, named Ivan, that I will likely pursue WARRANTED legal action upon now.
Most egregiously, his attempt to presume the ignorance, inferiority and easily exploitable psychiatric patient like myself, assuming a lack of knowledge nor probable punishment of his shocking violations etc
a physician assistant cannot ethically or professionally assign a psychiatric diagnosis such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), especially without reviewing pt charts, without clinical justification, and without physician oversight.
Since 2017, I am a holder of a bachelor of science 4.0 gpa in neuroscience, and psychology, with a 3.8 in post-bacc biochem, as well as now a formally certified EMT/paramedic, that also attended nursing school. Wrong victim, Ivan.
I’ve been a grateful, out‑of‑pocket patient here for 14 years, spending well over $11,000.
Allyson Feist has saved my life many times.
Dr. Bennett has always been responsible and compassionate. The front desk staff has consistently treated me with respect.
This review is specifically about a newer, YOUNG, PA, (Ivan), whose conduct was so inappropriate, arbitrary, and destabilizing that it completely changed how I view this practice.
I paid $250 for what should have been a simple, supportive second opinion — a chance to get updated, informed notes to help poor Allyson continue my care without relying on a huge stack of outdated records from a physician who retired over a decade ago. I always intended to remain with Allyson. I only wanted additional clarity, not a new provider.
Instead, the appointment immediately became bizarre and hostile. He had clearly not reviewed any charts, yet within minutes he introduced an unfounded personality‑disorder narrative that has never appeared in my 14‑year record. It felt invented, arbitrary, and designed to shut me down before I could even speak.
He then made inappropriate comments about Allyson, calling her “too soft” and insisting that he was “much tougher,” as if toughness were a qualification for psychiatric care. The implication was offensive, inaccurate, and unprofessional. Allyson is not “soft” — she is educated, competent, and has provided excellent, life‑saving care for years.
Throughout the appointment, he talked over me, barked abrupt instructions, and made it nearly impossible to get a word in. When I tried to ask straightforward questions about switching from Adderall to Vyvanse and safely managing anxiety before starting an EMS career.
He either cut me off or sat in long, uncomfortable silence. Then, out of nowhere, he told me I had to “choose” between him and Allyson — something no one in this practice has ever suggested in 14 years.
The impact on me was severe. I walked in with an improving state of mind, preparing for an important opportunity the next day. Instead, I left shaken, destabilized, and triggered into a level of emotional collapse I have never experienced before. What should have been a simple, responsible step toward better‑informed care instead caused a traumatic nervous breakdown in an innocent, extremely vulnerable disabled patient who came in trying to do the right thing.
This experience also destroyed the purpose of the second opinion entirely. Instead of receiving updated, accurate notes to support Allyson’s ongoing care, I was left with nothing but confusion, distress, and a completely derailed treatment plan — all because of an appointment that should have been routine.
My concerns apply to Ivan, but the experience was serious enough that I no longer feel safe recommending this practice at all.
But my trust in Allyson, and Dr. Bennet, the practice managers will restore my shaken persistence, for a fair chance at care.

Ivan Miranda is great, he's helped me so much and is caring, he listens, and is very smart and up to date on the latest treatments. He has helped so much with my late diagnosed ADHD! The office staff is always pleasant and helpful as well. I'm very satisfied with this practice.

I have had the best experience at this place. My doctor is truly amazing and the people at the receptionist desk are so patient and so kind. George has been the one person I’ve seen at the front desk the longest when I come for appointments, and he provides excellent customer service, a wide range of knowledge and empathy for patient care and inquiries. He has a wonderful attitude and love for his role and I’m glad I have had the chance to meet with him for scheduling appointments and making sure everything runs smoothly at Preston Hollow. I have been coming to Preston Hollow Psychiatry Group for Spravato treatments. I find the office staff very friendly and I absolutely love Shanice who takes care of the Spravato patients. Overall I have had an excellent experience here.

Preston Hollow Psychiatry Group is an ideal practice. The doctor who founded PHPG, is highly educated, but easy to understand and share with, making certain there is a true grasp of a treatment plan.
Sincere praise of PHPG for being a, “one stop shop,” for optimum mental care. The office has safe and clean waiting areas.
This professional, highly competent and therapeutic practice, is genuinely interested in helping manage each patient’s unique circumstances and symptoms.
The ease I felt entering Dr. Bennett’s office for the first time, several years back, continues to the current day. I am grateful beyond measure for the doctor and staff’s guidance and professional care, which I continue to receive, as I deal with my challenging circumstances.

I am so comfortable coming to Preston Hollow! Been doing treatment for about 7 months and the staff is very understanding and flexible.
Milton is literally their most amazing worker! I’m glad I found this location. Sadly he no longer works there but he really made treatments bearable.

I was a long time patient with Preston hollow and had no problems until today. I went for a treatment and was treated like a criminal by Dr. Marty Bennett, the most unprofessional doctor I’ve had the misfortune of meeting. Separated into a different room and scolded, I hadn’t smoked anything but they don’t seem to care. If you want caring help for you or a loved one, go somewhere else. These people don’t know what that means.
FAQs for Patients
Do the providers see patients in person or online?
We see patients both in person and by telehealth, however the initial visit is always in person.
Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid?
Currently, we accept traditional Medicare and some Advantage plans.
Do you accept patients without insurance?
Yes, we accept cash pay.
What is the difference between TMS and Deep TMS?
There are currently two kinds of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) devices available for therapy: the earlier, standard rTMS and the more advanced Deep TMS. In recent studies, response rates were found to be significantly higher for Deep TMS versus standard rTMS.
Is Deep TMS for OCD covered by insurance?
Currently, OCD alone is not covered. However, if a patient presents with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and OCD, these two conditions can be treated simultaneously and the cost is mostly covered by insurance with an additional charge to the patient for use of the OCD device.
